Global law firm Dentons is now part of the Arca Investments restructuring team joining economic advisor PwC and replacing BADOKH law firm that represented Arca Investments up to the first creditors’ meeting and the approval of restructuring. The main reason for the change in legal representation were Dentons’ international presence and activities.
“The entire Badokh team did great work and played the key role along with economic adviser PwC in the nearly year-long preparations for the crucial first meeting of creditors. Thanks to this cooperation, the creditors approved the intention to reorganize our company and entrust us with the reorganization,” Arca Investments representative responsible for reorganization Peter Janiga said of the exceptional work BADOKH did in representing the company and added “Badokh also played a key role in determining and confirming the Czech Republic as the centre of our company’s economic interests.”
Global law firm Dentons will now take over legal representation. “In light of the need to reorganize our company outside the territory of the Czech Republic, we require the support of a law firm that works internationally. Dentons, as the world’s largest law firm, can assure this overlap thanks to the experience of its restructuring teams,” Janiga explained.
Dentons is active in more than 80 countries around the world and is among the absolute best for restructuring and insolvency in the Czech Republic and Central Europe as a whole. The office was the legal adviser during the recent restructuring of Smartwings airline, for example. Dentons’s international team will be led by partners Jiří Tomola and Petr Zákoucký (Prague) and Patricia Gossányiová (Bratislava).
