ONDRÁŠOVKA a.s. is a legal successor of the company MARILA BALÍRNY, a.s. It is a Czech company active in the field of food industry with tradition dating back to 1780. As of 1st of March 2009, the company was divided into the following divisions – Coffee production, Pastry production (gingerbreads, sponges and wafers) and the production of mineral waters. As of the 1st of March 2009, the coffee and pastry divisions were sold to the company MOKATE. This has resulted in radical cuts in production. At present the main activity of the company is production of beverages. Production portfolio consists of natural mineral waters (Ondrášovka), flavored (Ondrášovka) and health (Šaratica). Sources of mineral waters and production facilities are located in Ondrášov (20km from Olomouc), in the Czech Republic. In Czech Republic the company is keeping its position as the third leading entity in the market, thanks to the sales of natural mineral water Ondrášovka and healing mineral water distributed under the name Šaratica. Ondrášovka contains essential minerals for the correct development and functioning of human body. Ondrášovka is a water of pleasant taste, suitable for everyday consumption for the whole family and for children from 3 years of age. Šaratica is an exceptional mineral water, whose healing properties are well known for more than 100 years, not only in Slovakia, Czech Republic but also in France, Austria and Germany. It is a great aid for digestive problems and recently more and more people are using it while dieting and in switching to a healthy lifestyle. It is irrecoverable when treating low blood pressure, fatigue, kidney illnesses, and sclerosis, liver and skin problem and is also suitable for long-term use in pregnant women. In year 2009, the company managed to establish itself in the Chinese market with Šaratica. This year an introduction of a new flavored Šaratica as well as a new bottle design is scheduled. In year 2011 ONDRÁŠOVKA, a.s. is preparing an introduction of new flavors of mineral water and nursing waters, preparation of limited editions of vitamin and functional waters. In the near future the company is planning an expansion of production capacities and an improvement of logistics. The construction of a gas boiler house that should start in year 2011 is being prepared. In the coming two years the company is also preparing to build a new distribution warehouse, its own sewage tank, new racking line and a new mineral water pipe.
ONDRÁŠOVKA inc. is actively involved in support for a healthy lifestyle. It is a general partner in the well-known Czech football competition ČMFS (the Football Association of the Czech Republic) Cup which as from July 2009 has borne the title of “the Ondrášovka Cup”. This cup competition was first held in the 1993/1994 season. Its winner qualifies for the European EUFA league.
